1,5-Hydrogen Transfers from Carbon to N-Tributyltin Substituted Nitrogen. -Treatment of the azides (I) with Bu3SnD generates N-tributyl substituted aminyl radicals which undergo an effective 1,5-H transfer. The reaction of (VI) under similar conditions results in competition of 1,5-H transfer and radical cyclization. Efficient 1,5-H transfer in (IX) allows subsequent cyclization to (X) and (XI). Furthermore, subjecting (XII) under these conditions gives a 1,5-Bu3Sn group transfer for the first time. -(KIM, S.; YEON, K.
