1,3,2-Diazaphosphinines and -Diazaarsinines as Precursors for Polyfunctional Phosphinines and Arsinines.
-A series of phosphinines is produced via two (4 + 2) cycloaddition-cycloreversion sequences by thermal reactions of (III) with various functional alkynes. Further reaction of (XIV) with (III) and an alkyne gives the tris(phosphinine) (XV). This methodology is also extended to the synthesis of arsinine derivatives. The derivative (XVI), prepared analogously to (III), reacts with alkynes by the same sequence to yield the tetrafunctional arsinines (XVIII). -(AVARVARI, N.; LE
