β¦ Synopsis
The chemical ionization mass spectra of eight monoterpene alkaloids from the gentianine group and their derivatives were investigated. Isobutane, methanol, ammonia, methylamine, ethylenediamine, diethylamine and triethylamine were used as reactant gases. The application of this technique for investigation of alkaloid mixtures and differentiation of proton affinities is demonstrated.
loids and only electron impact ionization (EI) was used for these investigation^.^*^
