β¦ Synopsis
Fatty acid compositions of four lipid fractions of Celattrmpaniculatus seed namely normal triglycerides (202 Yo), polar triglycerides (44.4 %),polar nonglyceridic ester (23.5 Oh), and nonpolar nonglyceridic ester (11.90/0), have been determined by gas liquid chromatography. Percentage contents of major component acids in these fractions are:

Pomegranate seed oil forming approximately 15Voof the seeds, enjoys very high refractiveindex and iodine value, withvery low meltingpoint.Spectrometric examination suggested presence of conjugation. Gas chromatographic analysis showed that 8 Voof its fatty acids were saturated, 10%monounsaturated, 1
