The composition of the essential oils isolated from the aerial parts of Teucrium heterophyllum L'HCr. collected during the flowering period and the vegetative phase of the plant, was analysed by GC and GC-MS. Both oils, which were obtained in a yield lower than 0.05% (vlw), were dominated by sesquit

✦ Synopsis
Abstract
Hydrodistillation of volatile oil from the aerial parts at full flowering stage of Nepeta crassifolia Boiss. & Buhse was analysed by a combination of GC and GC–MS. Twenty‐one components were characterized in the oil layer. The main constituents were 4a__α__,7__α__,7a__α__‐nepetalactone (92.6%), linalyl acetate (2.6%), piperitone (0.80%), germacrene D (0.73%), 4a__β__,7__α__,7a__β__‐nepetalactone (0.64%) and β‐caryophyllene (0.58%). ## Abstract The feline attractant properties of several __Nepeta__ spp. have been known for a long time. It was found that nepetalactones were responsible for this characteristic. In this study, the composition of the essential oil of __Nepeta persica__ Boiss (Lamiaceae) was investigated by GLC and
The composition of the essential oils of Nepeta ispahanica Boiss. and N. binaludensis Jamzad was investigated by means of GC, GC±MS and 1 H-NMR spectra of the main compounds. 1,8-Cineole was the most abundant component in both oils: Nepeta ispahanica (66%) and N. binaludensis (42%). However, nepetal
## Abstract The essential oil of __Nepeta racemosa__ (Lamiaceae) was prepared by hydrodistillation and was analysed by a combination of GC and GC–MS. Twenty‐four components were identified, constituting approximately 99.3% of the oil. The major constituents of essential oil were 4a__β__,7__α__,7a__β
