Ionic products have been observed in collisions of alkali atoms an.1 halogen molecules in the eV region. The energy dependence of t.Ys total cross sections for ion-production has been measured for K, Na and Li on Br2 and a discussion of the results is given based on the Landau Zener formula.

Cross sections for charge transfer reactions of Cl+ ions with organic molecules were measured using time-of-flight techniques. Magnitudes of the cross sections, which ranged from 8 to 105 A2, were correlated with reaction energetics and target molecule Franck-Condon vibrational overlap factors.
