For charge-transfer excitons strongly interacting with vibrations of a donor-acceptor chain, soliton-like states are found to have an internal structure: at a certain ratio of polaronic shift and electron-hole relative motion energy, a transition from a symmetric to a dimerized soliton occurs accomp
