β¦ Synopsis
We describe seven restriction fragment length polymorphisms (RFLPs) in the Leukemia Inhibitory Factor (LIF) gene region. These new markers, found using a cosmid contig, have been used to map precisely the chromosome 22 long arm.

The HLA-DQA1 gene exhibits haplotype-specific restriction fragment polymorphisms due to DNA rearrangements. We found that some of these polymorphisms extend into the 5' flanking region of the gene and are distinct from other HLA-DQA1 related DNA polymorphisms so far reported. Sequencing of genomic D
Allele frequencies of 14 different restriction fragment length polymorphisms from 12 DNA markers within the Huntington disease (HD) region were evaluated in the German population. No significant differences from published data of allele frequencies from chromosomes of Caucasian ancestry were found.
