Characterization of a Novel CuII/4, 4'-Bipyridine Coordination Polymer Containing Square Grids

In an attempt to obtain new square grid polymers we could prepare the copper(II) complex [Cu(4, 2 (H 2 O) 2 ]-(sac) 2 • DMF (4,4'-bipy ϭ 4,4'-bipyridine; sac ϭ anion of saccharin; DMF ϭ dimethylformamide). Its structure was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction methods. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pcnb (a ϭ 14.4994(2), b ϭ 15.8128(3), c ϭ 16.6850(2) A ˚, Z ϭ 4) and is a square grid polymer with the Charakterisierung eines neuartigen, viereckige Gitter enthaltenden Cu II /4,4'-Bipyridin Koordinationspolymer Inhaltsübersicht. Bei Versuchen neue viereckige Gitter-Polymere zu erhalten, gelang es den Kupfer(II)-Komplex [Cu(4,4'-bipy) 2 (H 2 O) 2 ]-(sac) 2 • DMF (4,4'-bipy ϭ 4,4'-Bipyridin; sac ϭ Anion des Saccharins; DMF ϭ Dimethylformamid) darzustellen.
