✦ Synopsis


Flavonoid glycosides in citrus were characterised by high-performance liquid chromatography using both ultraviolet and Ñuorescence detection. The e †ects of sample preparation on the chromatographic proÐles are reported. Key variables in the proÐles useful as chemotaxonomic markers were identiÐed with the aid of pattern recognition, which was also used to create sample categories. LCÈMS data are presented and the advantages of mass spectrometric detection are demonstrated.
