โœฆ Synopsis

Gangliosides in the plasma of Ehrlich ascites tumor-bearing mice showed changes, both quantitative and qualitative, with of pooled plasma collected on difestimation indicated a gradual increase of gangliosides up to day of growth followed by a decline leading to a level to solvent extraction and solvent partition for the preparation below the normal by day 12. Qualitative changes studied by of gangliosides (Svennerholm and Freedman, 1980). An ahthin-layer chromatography indicated appearance of new gan-qUOt Of plasma extracted with 4 VOhmeS Of ch1oroform:methgliosides in the plasma of tumor-bearing mice, which were an01 ( 1 2 , v/v) mixture for 30 min at room temperature was absent from normal plasma. One of these gangliosides a P filtered through Whatman 1 filter paper. Residue on the filter pears to be of tumor-cell origin. Gangliosides obtained from paper was washed with chloroform:methanol:water tumor-bearing plasma enhanced tumor growth when (1.33:2.67: 1.0, v/v/v) mixture. The pooled filtrate and the washings were thoroughly mixed with one-sixth volume of adoptively transferred with tumor cells into normal mice.

Natural killer cell cytotoxicity (NKCC) was reported to manifest a circadian rhythm, peaking during wakefulness in both human blood and rat spleen.
