## Abstract The analysis of the PMR spectrum of 1,4‐naphthoquinone dissolved in the nematic phase of __pp′__‐di‐__n__‐hexyloxyazoxybenzene showed that the naphthoquinone molecule is planar. The ratios of the various interprotonic distances were determined.
