## Abstract The analysis of the PMR spectrum of 1,4‐naphthoquinone dissolved in the nematic phase of __ppβ€²__‐di‐__n__‐hexyloxyazoxybenzene showed that the naphthoquinone molecule is planar. The ratios of the various interprotonic distances were determined.

Abstrnct-The PMR spectrum of thiophen dissolved in a nematic phase is reported. This spectrum has been analysed iteratively. The ratios of the various inter-proton distances determined in this study are in good agreement with those previously reported.
