✦ Synopsis
Abstract-The Simplified Generalized Valence Force Field of the 3-methyl4-nitro pyridine N-oxide molecule (POM) has been determined. In order to verify the transferability of the force field from the parent molecule 4nitro pyridine N-oxide (NPO) to POM, the calculations have been made first using the C-H distances determined by X-ray diffraction for NPO, and the final results correspond to the real geometry determined by neutron diffraction. Moreover, it has been necessary to re-assign 5 of the observed vibrational frequencies of POM.

New aza heterocycles with benzimidazole, pyrazole and pyridine moieties in the same molecule have been prepared. Preliminary complexing properties with divalent copper salts were determined by means of mass spectrometry (FAB) and a very interesting oxydation reaction with molecular oxygen was shown.
The ^14^C labelling of three compounds : HI‐6, TMB‐4 and pyrimidoxime is described from ^14^C‐formic acid, sodium salt. The compounds were prepared by lithiation and formylation with N‐methyl (^14^C)‐formanilide followed by introduction of the hydroxylamine moieties and alkylation of the pyridine. R
