Isolates of basidiomycetes have been studied for the production of extracellular cellulases in submerged shaken cultures using whole sugar cane bagasse (without delignification) as substrate. Cultures produced maximum exo-B-l,4,glucanase (FPD), endo-fi-l,4,glucanase (E.C.3.2.1.4.) (CMCase) on the 4
