## Abstract The 5T4 oncofetal antigen is expressed by a wide variety of human carcinomas, including colorectal, ovarian and gastric carcinomas. The restricted expression of 5T4 on tumor tissues as well as its implication in tumor progression and bad prognosis makes 5T4 a promising new candidate for

CD4 and CD8: modulators of T-cell receptor recognition of antigen and of immune responses? Rose Zamoyska
The response of T cells to antigen involves the participation of a number of distinct receptor-ligand engagements. The major players in the recognition of complexes of major histocompatibility complex molecules and peptide antigens are the T-cell receptors and the co-receptors CD4 and CDS. Progress in understanding the physical structures of these molecules, and how complexes between them are formed, is helping our understanding of how they participate in regulating the signals transduced to T cells.

## Abstract There is a growing body of evidence which suggests that CD8^+^ T cells play an important part in regulating the IgE response to nonβreplicating antigens. In this study we have systematically investigated their role in the regulation of IgE and of CD4^+^ T cell responses to ovalbumin (OV
## Abstract Spontaneous tumors frequently express antigens that can be recognized by the immune system but nevertheless manage to evade immune surveillance. To better understand the mechanism of evasion, we followed CD8 and CD4 T cells reacting against a subcutaneously growing tumor, modified to ex
