✦ Synopsis


The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Sn(C 4 H 9 ) 3 -(C 6 H 4 NO 2 )] n , consists of three butyl and one pyridine-3carboxylate groups bonded to the Sn atom in a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry. In the crystal structure, these units are linked to form an infinite one-dimensional polymeric chain structure. In one n-butyl chain three C atoms are disordered over two sites, and in another two C atoms are disordered over two sites.
