In the title compound, [Ag(C~4~H~4~N~2~)]ClO~4~, pyrazine ligands bridge two symmetry-related Ag atoms [Ag—N = 2.222 (3) Å] to form linear polycationic chains which run along the __c__ axis of the orthorhombic unit cell.
