✦ Synopsis
In the title compound, [Co(C 8 H 4 O 4 )(C 18 H 10 N 4 )(H 2 O)] n , the Co II atom is six-coordinated by three O atoms from two benzene-1,4-dicarboxylate (1,4-BDC) dianions (one bidentate and one monodentate), one water molecule and two N atoms from a bidentate dipyrido[3,2-a:2 0 ,3 0 -c]phenazine ligand, resulting in a distorted cis-CoO 4 N 2 octahedral geometry. The Co II atoms are bridged by the 1,4-BDC ligands, forming a single-chain polymer structure. Both BDC ligands are centrosymmetric. Neighbouring chains interact throughinteractions [minimum centroid-centroid separation = 3.459 (2) A ˚] and O-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds.
