## Abstract Cognitive dysfunction is one of the most incapacitating nonโmotor symptoms of Parkinson's disease (PD). Some cognitive deficits are thought to be related to abnormal dopamine homeostasis. The latter is influenced by catecholโOโmethyltransferase (COMT), an enzyme that degrades dopamine.
