## Abstract The delayed fluorescence (DF) quenching of anthracene crystals caused by hole injection is investigated. The kinetics of DF and DF quenching due to tripletβhole interaction are measured over a wide range of light intensities when the triplet exciton decay converts from unimolecular to b
The singlet exciton-charge carrier annihilation rate constant KS has been measured CLS Xi x 10-5cm3 set-1 for hoies and electrons. The mngnitude of Ks is discussed with respect to the magnitude of rhc electron-hole recombination rate constant.
Singlet excitons in anthracene crystal are annihilated by trapped hoIes near an Au hole-injecting electrode. The efficiency of detrappiny is about 1%. The singlet exciton fluorescence can be modulated by means of a varying external eIectric field.
