✦ Synopsis
Carcinoma of the esophagus is usually suspected after the onset of obstructive symptoms, and the diagnosis is established by a Combination of clinical findings, barium esophagram, and endoscopy followed by biopsy. We report the sonographic findings in a case of carcinoma of the cervicothoracic esophagus in which the pathologic diagnosis was established by ultrasound-guided percutaneous fine-needle aspiration biopsy.
