A method is described for determining the composition of the carbon t&ra&loride/ acetic acid azeotroFe at pressures within the range lo-1,0C10 mm Hg absolute. Reduction in pressure descreases the percentage of acetic acid in the azeotrope. The cornpoSition at 760 mm absolute is found to be 164% acetic acid by weight which is lower than previously reForted VSlUW.
