## Abstract The ^13^C chemical shift data of a series of ketone, alcohol and ester derivatives of D‐homoandrostane are reported. Homologation effects are discussed, as well as substituent effects on the homologated structures.

## Abstract The ^13^C NMR data of six pairs of 18Ξ±/18β‐glycyrrhetic acid derivatives are presented. It is shown that the configuration at C‐18 can easily be recognized by inspecting the chemical shifts of several characteristic carbons, e.g. C‐12, C‐13, C‐18 and C‐28. The shifts of these carbons or

The =C chemical shifts of a series of isoflavones having hydroxy, acetoxy, methoxy and methylenedioxy substituents are compared. Some general relationships between substitution patterns and chemical shifts, useful for the identitication of naturally occurring isoflavones, are outlined.
