The '"C NMR spectra of tetraalkyl-porphyrin and -chlorin complexes of nickel(1I) were studied. The '"C N M R of (5,10,15,20-tetramethylchlorinato)nickel(lI) supports the model of asymmetric charge distriiution in th& chlorin, as derived from the structure analysis and from previous proton NMR studies.
