✦ Synopsis
Abstract
^13^C NMR spectra of 4‐substituted 3‐chloro‐ and 3‐bromo‐2,6‐dimethylpyridine N‐oxides in CDCI~3~ and their chemical shifts are reported. The influence of the electronic properties of the substituent in the 4‐position and the ortho effect on the direction of chemical shifts and the values of coupling constants ^1^J(C‐5,^1^H) is discussed.
