## Abstract The ^34^S isotope effect on the chemical shift of P^III^ nuclei in P(SR)~3~ esters [R = Et, (C~12~H~25~)~n~, Ph] is close to 20.6 ppb per P^III^^34^S bond, i.e. 3–4 times larger than for thiolo sulphur atoms in S = P(SR)~3~ or O = P(SR)~3~. A similar behaviour is noted for the P(S)~3

## Abstract Large deuterium isotope effects of both signs have been observed on the ^13^C nuclear shielding in proton‐chelating tautomeric forms of β‐thioxoketones, and small isotope effects of both signs have been found in related forms of Schiff's bases of salicylaldehydes. These effects are inte

## Abstract Deuterium isotope effects on the ^13^C and ^15^N nuclear shieldings of __o__‐hydroxyazo compounds are described. Both the direct and the equilibrium contributions were determined. Large direct deuterium isotope effects on ^15^N nuclear shieldings for ^1^Δ, ^2^Δ and ^4^Δ and negative Δ^1
