✦ Synopsis

Abstract

We report on a case of a 25‐year‐old woman with clusters of myoclonus induced by a single exposure to inhaled cannabis. Investigations excluded a structural abnormality of the spine. Multi‐channel surface EMG with parallel frontal EEG recording confirmed the diagnosis of propriospinal myoclonus. Β© 2004 Movement Disorder Society

## Abstract The clinical and electrophysiological features of a truncal myoclonus in a 55‐year‐old man are described. The electromyographic characteristics point toward propriospinal myoclonus. The clinical and electrophysiological features of stimulus-sensitive truncal myoclonus are described in a 49-year-old woman. Touching the skin of the back and abdomen would evoke jerks in both ipsilateral and contralateral axial muscles; there was no spontaneous jerking. Multichannel EMG recordings

In order to investigate the clinical impact of polymyographic evaluation on the diagnosis of propriospinal myoclonus (PSM), we performed electromyography recordings of various truncal muscles in eight healthy volunteers while they mimicked PSM symptoms. Before the experiment, each volunteer learned

## Abstract The clinical and electrophysiological characteristics of eight patients with propriospinal myoclonus are described. Myoclonus developed within days or weeks of cervical trauma in half the patients. Seven cases had axial flexion jerks, and one axial extension jerks. Myoclonic EMG activit
