It is proved that the quantum mechanical Hamiltonian H = Cy=, (p' + n~\\*)l'~ -K ci>jlxi -xj(-r for bosons (resp. fermions) is bounded from below if N c;K-' (resp. N > c;K3'\\*). The constants cD and CA (resp. c, and c;) differ by about a factor 2 (resp. 4).
