Vor einiger Zeit ist von uns ein ismC,-Aldehyd (I) nach dem Schema Cg + C, = C14 aus Trimethylcyclohexanon aufgebaut worden ,). Derartige Aldehyde haben fur Synthesen von Carotinoiden, vornehmlich fur deren technische Herstellung, hervorragende Bedeutung gewonnen. Insbesondere ist der P-C,-Aldehyd I
