In this communication, we first used [60]fullerene as initiator to initiate the bulk polymerization of N-vinylcarbazole (NVC) monomer at 70°C (slightly higher than the melting point temperature, 65°C, of NVC). A reasonable polymerization reaction pathway via C 60 -NVC ion-radical pairs is suggested.
## Abstract Computer simulations show that ion pair aggregation can be responsible for the unusual dependence of the initial rate of polymerization on the concentration of added salt in the cationic polymerization of styrene initiated by RCl/SnCl~4~/NRCl^−^. Addition of small amounts of tetraalkyla
Kinetics of polymerization of acrylonitrile initiated by the Ce4+-thiourea redox system have been investigated at 10 °. The rate of monomer disappearance is proportional to (a) (monomer concentration)-", (b) thiourea concentration and, (c) (ceric ion concentration)-1. The rate of ceric disappearance
