A brominated bisacetylenic acid, 18-bromooctadeca-9(E),17(E)-dien-7,15-diynoic acid, has been isolated from the marine sponge Xestospongia testudinaria and its structure elucidated by NMR including 2D homonuclear spectroscopy.
