## Abstract The assessment of an alternative six‐port circuit in terms of frequency behavior when used to measure complex voltage ratio is presented. A numerical comparison to commonly used and well‐known six‐port circuits is carried out. The presented results can help us to choose between differen

✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A new six‐port circuit configuration based on branch‐line hybrids and Wilkinson power dividers is presented. The phase difference between two input signals is estimated using this new structure. The results are compared with the most widely used six‐port structures and a notable improvement in broadband performance is shown. Simulations are carried out in order to assess this improvement. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract We present a compact and broadband balun based on the concept of a synthetic left‐handed transmission line and right‐handed transmission line. The compact balun uses lumped, discrete LC elements only to reduce the circuit size dramatically. For the frequency range of 0.6–1.2 GHz, this ci

## Abstract This paper describes a new low‐profile X antenna array separated 0.1–0.15 wavelengths from a flat or rimmed square reflector of 0.6 wavelengths in size. The array consists of two closely spaced elements: an active two‐port folded‐wire X antenna, which radiates two cross‐polarized fields
An efficient algorithm to analyze the six-port junction between a circular wa¨eguide and four side-coupled rectangular wa¨eguides is presented. The junction is a typical component in dual polarization corrugated horns mode launchers. The method is based on the generalized admittance matrix computati
