Abstract
This article introduces broadband equivalent circuit models for both seriesβconnected and parallelβconnected canonical chiral elements. Each connection method results in a different terminal impedance behavior and therefore requires a different equivalent circuit model. These equivalent circuit models have a variety of applications including allowing for convenient analysis of chiral antennas as well as metaβmaterials composed of passively or actively loaded chiral elements. ## Abstract This paper describes a technique for synthesizing an equivalent circuit for a broadband antenna. A method is proposed for generating a rational function approximation with real coefficients in order to model the input impedance of the antenna in the frequency domain. An algorithm is the
