J acobs Engineering Group Inc is to provide multidisciplinary, frontend engineering services to three of Eni SpA's operating units: Refining and Marketing, Exploration and Production, and Polimeri Europa.
Each framework contract will last three years.
Jacobs will develop extended basic design packages and cost estimates for the Eni projects and will execute the work from its office in Milan, Italy.
β’ Jacobs Engineering Group Inc has also received a contract from a major oil & gas company for the engineering of a thermal facility in northeast Alberta, Canada. Jacobs will perform pre-engineering design specifications (Pre-EDS), EDS, detailed engineering, and procurement services for the in-situ oil sands central processing facility. Engineering activities began in November 2008, and Jacobs is scheduled to complete its work in February 2011, executing 20% or more of the engineering from its Mumbai, India, office.
