โฆ Synopsis
Two existence results are presented for second-order discrete boundary value problems. The first result is based on the notion of upper and lower solutions and the second result is based on the discrete Gelfand problem.
Keywords--Boundary value problems, Existence results, Upper and lower solutions, Gelfand problem.

An accelerated monotone iterative method for a boundary value problem of secondorder discrete equations is presented. This method leads to an existence-comparieon theorem as well as a computational algorithm for the solutions. The monotone property of the iterations gives improved upper and lower bo
