Abstract

We consider SchrΓΆdinger operators of atoms in a homogeneous magnetic field. We prove that for each fixed value of the pseudomomentum, the corresponding operator has an infinite number of eigenvalues. The asymptotic behaviour of the counting function is studied for values of spectral parameter near the bottom of the essential spectrum. (Β© 2005 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)

We have proposed a new modified Hamiltonian for a polaron bound to a donor impurity in semiconductor quantum-well structures (QWs) in the presence of an arbitrary magnetic field, in which the coupling of an electron with confined bulk-like LO phonons, halfspace LO phonons and interface phonons is co
