## Abstract Boron nitride coatings on highโsurface area MgAl~2~O~4~ and Al~2~O~3~ have been synthesized and characterized by transmission electron microscopy and by Xโray powder diffraction. The metal oxide templates were coated with boron nitride using a simple nitridation in a flow of ammonia sta
