β¦ Synopsis
Astrid Amundsen is back, this time on the USS Invicta, and sheβs not here to take names!
After an enemy warship launches missiles on an American space station (possibly by mistake), Amundsenβs captain requests that she attack the enemy ship. But unknown to Amundsen, a ceasefire had been in the works between the United States and the enemy empire.
To make matters worse, the emperorβs son was aboard the ship that Amundsen attacked, and it has been reported that he was killed.
Will this fiasco derail the peace process?
Complicating matters is the fact that before Amundsen took charge of her squad, six of the original twelve squad members had been killed over a short period, in incidents that included freak incidents. Was it a curse? Amundsen doesnβt think so, but she may have a hard time convincing her squad members.
Who will live? Who will die?
