## Abstract High‐resolution ^1^H NMR images of the isolated perfused rabbit heart were recorded before and after the induction of regional ischemia while the heart was arrested. On T~2~‐weighted images the ischemic region appeared darker than the surrounding tissue and a 28% reduction in T~2~ was m

Abstract
An MR line scan protocol has been used to measure relaxation parameters (T~1~ and T~2~) in isolated, blood perfused rabbit hearts at various blood oxygenations. Hearts were retro‐gradely perfused at 37°C with a cardioplegic solution (modified St. Thomas' solution) containing sheep red blood cells and adenosine (1 m__M__) to maximally vasodilate the coronary vascular bed. Arresting the hearts eliminated motion complications and minimized arteriovenous oxygenation differences. The authors have found that under conditions of stable flow, there is a strong correlation between T~2~ in myocardial septa and hemoglobin (Hb) saturation, while tissue T~1~ is virtually independent of blood oxygenation. These effects are believed to be due to the paramagnetic agent deoxyhemoglobin.

The goal of this work is to provide regional T(1) and T(2) values at a field strength of 7 T for the normal mouse brain at 6 weeks and 1 year old. A novel segmented snapshot FLASH sequence was used to measure T(1) in the hippocampus, corpus callosum, and the retrosplenial granular (RSG) cortex; T(2)
## Abstract Each of six perfused rat hearts was subjected to 30 min of hypoxia followed by 60 min of reoxygenation. Inversion‐recovery data on the intracellular Na NMR signal, differentiated by a shift reagent, 6 m__M__ Dy(PPP)~2~, were obtained every 5 min, and __T__~1~ values were calculated. The
