The structure determination of the title compound, [C 14 H 24 N 4 ](ClO 4 ) 2 , indicates that intermolecular hydrogen bonds between the N atom of the aminopropyl group and an O atom of the perchlorate result in a two-dimensional layer structure. The cation has crystallographic inversion symmetry.
