✦ Synopsis

In the title complex, [Cr(C 11 H 15 N 2 O 2 ) 2 ]Cl, the Cr III ion is coordinated by four N atoms and two O atoms from two tridentate N-[2-(2-hydroxyethylamino)ethyl]salicylideneimine (sadol) ligands to form a distorted octahedron. A centrosymmetric dimer is constructed through the formation of O-HÁ Á ÁCl and N-HÁ Á ÁCl hydrogen bonds.
