The structure of the title complex, (CNH~6~)~2~[MoS~4~], consists of tetrahedral tetrathiomolybdate dianions, [MoS~4~]^2−^, and two crystallographically independent methylammonium cations, MeNH~3~ ^+^, all of which are located on mirror planes. The tetrathiomolybdate anions are linked to the organic
