✦ Synopsis
In the title centrosymmetric complex, [Ni(C 9 H 10 Br 2 NO 2 ) 2 ], the Ni II ion is chelated by two 2-[(3,5-dibromo-2-oxidophenyl)methylamino]ethanol ligands in a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. In the crystal structure, intermolecular O-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds connect molecules into one-dimensional chains, and there are short intermolecular BrÁ Á ÁBr contacts of 3.592 (1) A ˚.
