✦ Synopsis


The title compound, [Ir(C 8 H 4 F 3 O 2 S)(C 12 H 10 N) 2 ]ÁC 4 H 8 O 2 , contains two cyclometallated 3-methyl-2-phenylpyridine ligands and one thenoyltrifluoroacetonate ligand. The central Ir III atom has a distorted octahedral coordination geometry, with the C atoms being cis and the N atoms trans.
