This book gives a very comprehensive picture of positive and negative aspects of the interactions of microorganisms and metals. There are 10 chapters in all, written as review style articles. Some of the chapters deal with more general topics, such as corrosion and biofilms and others discuss specific examples, such as bacterial leaching of gold sulphide.
