The photophysics of the excited states of safranine T and its reactions with aliphatic amines were studied in aqueous solution. The fluorescence lifetime of the singlet state was found to be 1.3 ns at 20 °C in water, and increases in non-hydroxylic solvents. This state is quenched by trialkylamines

## Abstract Removal of alcohols, amines, and aliphatic acids in single‐solute aqueous solution in the concentration range from 0.001 to 0.01__M__ have been studied using the NS‐100 membrane. All the tests were conducted at 600 psig, 25°C, and a flow rate of 0.30 gpm. The mechanism of solute separat
