✦ Synopsis

Abstract

LDH‐X from spermatozoa can be demonstrated within the perivitelline space and zona pellucida of the preimplantation mouse embryo. Peroxidase reaction product is deposited in these areas of blastocysts incubated with rabbit anti‐LDH‐X IgG and then with peroxidase labelled goat anti‐rabbit IgG. Unfertilized ova do not bind antibody to LDH‐X.

## Abstract Implanting and delayed‐implanting mouse blastocysts were incubated in vitro with [^3^H] concanavalin A (Con A), and the distribution of binding on their surfaces was determined by light microscopic autoradiography. Recent reports suggest an interaction between neuro-(active)steroids and sigma, (a,) receptors, affecting biochemical parameters as well as physiological responses mediated by u1 ligands in the rodent brain. In this study, we examined the modulation by neurosteroids of the haloperidol-sensitive in v
