✦ Synopsis

In 1979 and 1981 ZELEN introduced the so-called prerandomized designs as an alternative to the completely randomized trial of therapies: The participants of the trial are first (pre-) randomized to the treatment groups and asked afterwards for their consent. In the w e of binary data, hats for selection'ahd treatmetlt effects in the simple and double prerandomized design are derived and then illustrated by a numerical example.

## Abstract Two more models are proposed for the analysis of matched pairs in factorial experiments with binary data. They are applied to two‐period crossover designs. Estimation and test procedures are derived both approximately and by maximizing likelihoods. Comparisons are made with previous met

The differential reinforcement of low-rate 72 seconds schedule (DRL-72) is a standard behavioral test procedure for screening potential antidepressant compounds. The protocol for the DRL-72 experiment, proposed by , consists of using a crossover design for the experiment and one-way ANOVA for the st
