โœฆ Synopsis

Abstract

Epidermoid cysts of the testis are rare benign lesions, without malignant potential, that can be managed conservatively with cyst enucleation and testisโ€sparing surgery. Bilateral epidermoid cysts in the testes have been reported very infrequently. We report the sonographic and MRI findings in a patient who presented with a palpable nodule in only 1 testis, but in whom sonography showed bilateral lesions. On sonography, the cysts had an internal โ€œonionโ€ringโ€ structure; color Doppler signals were absent. On MRI, the cysts had a laminated appearance, with alternating lowโ€ and highโ€signalโ€intensity areas on T2โ€weighted images. These imaging findings and the negative results of laboratory tests for tumor markers suggested the correct diagnosis, and testisโ€sparing surgery could be performed. ยฉ 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Simple epidermoid cysts of the testis are rare, benign lesions. The reported sonographic findings are varied, but to date there has been no report of an epidermoid cyst presenting as an echogenic mass with dense acoustic shadowing. We report such a case. ## CASE REPORT A 52-year-old white man wit

## Abstract Leiomyomas are benign neoplasms that may arise from any structure or organ containing smooth muscle. The majority of genitourinary leimyomas are found in the renal capsule, but this tumor has also been reported in the epididymis, spermatic cord, and tunica albuginea. Sonography is the i

Epidermoid cysts of the testis are rare and represent about 1% of all testicular tumors. An analysis of 141 cases reported to date in the world literature, including the cases reported here, indicates that 50% of the lesions occur in the third decade and 86% between the second and fourth decade. The
